Updates for the S&T community
Dr. Shannon Fogg, chair and professor of history and political science, will serve as a visiting scholar in Paris in January at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). The EHESS trains postgraduate students in social sciences and is one of France’s prestigious grandes écoles.
While in residence, Fogg will work with Dr. Isabelle Backouche, director of studies in the EHESS’ Centre de Recherches Historiques. Fogg will deliver three seminars on her current and recent research. She will serve on the organizing committee and as the keynote speaker for an international conference, titled “Home as a Place for Anti-Jewish Persecution in European Cities.”
Fogg will build connections with a transnational team of researchers working on a research project, titled “Known at this Address: Cities and Social Dynamics of Anti-Jewish Persecution in Europe (1936-1948).”
