Two books signed by William Shatner are up for auction on eBay, with proceeds from the auction pledged to Leach Theatre. The auction ends on Sunday, Dec. 3.

Shatner became a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise in the original Star Trek series. Shatner performed his Broadway show, “Shatner’s World” in October at Leach Theatre. After the performance, he signed two books about Star Trek: Star Trek Movie Memories and Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual.

Shatner is the author of Star Trek Movie Memories. In the book, he shares his reminiscences about the making of Star Trek, the history of the show as a cultural phenomenon and behind-the-scenes antics that took place on the set.

Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph is billed as a “must-have” for Trekkies, with “everything you’ll ever want to know about day-to-day life on the Enterprise.”
