The Fall 2017 Student Art in the Library Exhibit will be open on the second floor of Curtis Laws Wilson Library from Monday, Oct. 30, through Friday, Dec. 8. Please visit the exhibit and vote for your favorite piece for the exhibit’s Peoples’ Choice Award. Artists will be honored during a reception at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the library.
Prizes will be awarded at the Nov. 1 reception. The judges are members of S&T’s Art in the Library Committee and local artist Orval Reeves. Paintings by Reeves have hung in the White House, the governor’s mansion in Missouri, the Bank of California, and private collections throughout the world.
The exhibit features 53 works of art by 28 student artists in a broad range of mediums, including glass, acrylic and oil paints, mixed media and digital art. The exhibit is jointly sponsored by the library and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business.
