Olufeyisayo Ilesanmi, a Ph.D. candidate in geology and geophysics, received the Best Graduate Student Poster Award at the 54th National Conference of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) on Sept. 25 in Nashville. Her presentation was titled “Geohazard Mapping Using Lidar and Satellite Imagery in Oklahoma.”
Her co-authors are Dr. Francisca Oboh-Ikuenobe, professor of geology and geophysics, and Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Boone Pickens chair of geology at Oklahoma State University. Ilesanmi’s co-advisors are Oboh-Ikuenobe and Dr. Emitt Witt III, assistant adjunct professor.
