Jerry Bayless was known by students and alumni as “Mr. MSM,” “Mr. UMR” or “Mr. S&T,” depending on the era, or simply as “Mr. Miner” to many.
Alumni and friends are invited to honor the unmatched career of Jerry Bayless (CE’59, MS CE’62), associate professor emeritus of civil, architectural and environmental engineering. The department will host a retirement banquet in his honor at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Hasselmann Alumni House during Homecoming Weekend. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. Tickets cost $35 per person. You can register online at homecoming.mst.edu.
Bayless has been a part of Missouri S&T since he was a first-year student in 1955. He has influenced thousands of students during 57 years of teaching at S&T.
