Search committee formed for vice chancellor and dean

A search committee will help recruit S&T’s vice chancellor of research and dean of graduate studies. The deans of both colleges will co-chair the search committee: Dr. Stephen Roberts, vice provost and dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business, and Dr. Richard Wlezien, vice provost and dean of the College of Engineering and Computing.

The search committee includes:

  • Dr. Denise Baker, assistant professor of psychological science
  • Rhonda Byers (ex-officio), director of human resources
  • Dr. Casey Burton, director of medical research at Phelps County Regional Medical Center
  • Dr. Bill Fahrenholtz, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of ceramic engineering
  • George Holmes, graduate student in mechanical engineering
  • Dr. Catherine Johnson, assistant professor of mining and explosives engineering
  • Sarah Kent, compliance manager in the office of sponsored programs
  • Dr. Dan Lin, associate professor of computer science
  • Dr. Yinfa Ma, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of chemistry
  • Sharon Matson, program and project support coordinator in the Officer of Graduate Studies
  • Dr. John McManus, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of history
  • Dr. Bruce McMillin, professor of computer science and associate dean for research and external relations in the College of Engineering and Computing
  • Dr. Julia Medvedeva, professor of physics
  • Weina Meng, postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies
  • Dr. Caprice Moore, associate provost of administration
  • Steve Ndengue, postdoctoral fellow in chemistry
  • Dr. Kathryn Northcut, professor of English and technical communication
  • Cuba Plain, interim vice chancellor for finance and operations
  • Nels Portincaso, graduate student in business administration
  • Dr. Sahra Sedigh Sarvestani, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering
  • Tory Verkamp, assistant vice chancellor of University Advancement
