Ready to visit some of the most progressive cities in the Gulf States Region? How about a night under the stars in the Omani desert? The Gulf States Region Faculty-Led program will take place during the 2017-2018 winter break.
Students will enroll in 6 credit hours for courses offered in Environmental Economics and Entrepreneurship. Activities will include the following:
• City tour of Dubai
• Shopping in the Arab Gold Market
• Oman Turtle Beach visit
• Shop in the Souqs of Oman
• Desert camp
• Visit the oilfields in Oman and UAE
• Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
• Burj Al Arab
This program is designed to provide an educational experience in the context of the Arab Culture. The energy course is very applicable given the critical role the oil and gas industry plays in this region. Also, entrepreneurship is very relevant given the growth in market economics for the Emirates and Oman.
