Yinfa Ma to lead S&T’s Center for Biomedical Research

Dr. Yinfa Ma, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of chemistry and associate dean for research and external relations in the College of Arts, Sciences and Business, became director of the newly renamed Center for Biomedical Research at Missouri S&T today (Friday, Sept. 1).
The center was established in 2008 as the Center for Bone and Tissue Repair and Regeneration with a mission to research and develop advanced biomaterials and biosensors to help heal traumatized bones and other tissues. In 2013, it was renamed the Center for Biomedical Science and Engineering to reflect a broader array of biomedical approaches. The new name, the Center for Biomedical Research, took effect Sept. 1.
