Missouri S&T will soon begin a national search for the position of vice chancellor for research and dean of graduate studies. This position results from faculty suggestions to improve the integration of research and scholarship with graduate education. Combining the two offices and creating a vice chancellor-level position to oversee the efforts demonstrates the importance of both research and graduate studies at the senior leadership level.

Dr. Stephen Roberts, vice provost and dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business, and Dr. Richard Wlezien, vice provost and dean of the College of Engineering and Computing, will co-chair the search committee.

Roberts and Wlezien are currently seeking nominations from campus for faculty and others to serve on the search committee. Campus community members wishing to nominate individuals to serve on the committee should email either Roberts or Wlezien at vcrdgs@mst.edu.

More information about the search process and committee composition will be shared at a later date.
