The counseling, disability services and student wellness (CDSW) staff recognizes National Recovery Month in September to highlight the value of peer support by educating, mentoring and helping others. Missouri S&T’s collegiate recovery program, Miners for Recovery, is a supportive group that provides an opportunity to explore behaviors and ideas for change in a safe setting to avoid future consequences related to drugs and alcohol.
This group helps students in recovery for alcohol and drug use enhance their college experience. Meetings are held at 11 a.m. on Thursdays in 204 Norwood Hall. For more information, please contact Lynne Davidson at davidsonlg@mst.edu, email m4r@mst.edu, find the group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/miners4recovery or visit http://counsel.mst.edu.
