The counseling, disability services and student wellness staff created the S&T student emergency fund in 2016. The fund currently is low and several students could use help. This fund assists S&T students by providing financial support with unexpected emergency expenses that greatly affect their lives, including their ability to be successful academically. Funds may be used for examples such as medical care or prescriptions, groceries or essential academic expenses.

The number of students who can be served by this resource is limited by the availability of funds. The fund is sustained by continual contributions from alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Missouri S&T.
