The Missouri S&T Mars Rover Design Team will be featured at a pre-eclipse event at the Lake Spring Post Office 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19. The post office is located at 100 State Route 72 in Lake Spring, Missouri. The event also will include chemistry demonstrations, a presentation about the solar eclipse and the unveiling of an eclipse cancellation stamp. All activities are free and open to the public, with the exception of a barbecue lunch, which costs $5 per person. To get the eclipse cancellation stamp, send stamped, addressed envelopes to “Postmaster, Lake Spring, MO 65532” for cancellation and mailing.
