Grad students attend Women in Leadership Conference

The Office of Graduate Studies sponsored a group of graduate student women attending the University of Missouri System’s 2017 Women in Leadership Conference on June 15 in Columbia. Attendees were nominated by department chairs and included:

  • Cady Holmes-Muskovin, graduate student in industrial organizational psychology
  • Anita Burke, ChE’10, graduate student in business administration
  • Michelle Mild, Ph.D. student in geology and geophysics
  • Zahra Manzoor, Ph.D. student in electrical engineering
  • Zahra Sadeghizadeh, Ph.D. student in aerospace engineering

Among the presenters were an S&T staff member and an alumna. The conference included presentations by University Police Chief Doug Roberts on concepts and prevention of assault. Alumna Diana Alt, Chem ’97, MS EMgt ’98, also spoke about generational differences in the workplace.
