Former NIH coordinator to speak Aug. 19 at biomedical symposium

Dr. Lenka Fedorkova, founder and chief executive officer of bioPrime LLC, will present the keynote address, “Accessing NIH’s Research Dollars: An Insider’s Perspective on Funding Options and Strategies,” at the Ozark Biomedical Initiative Research Symposium. The event will be held 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. It is free and lunch will be provided. To register, please visit http://obi.mst.edu.

Fedorkova previously worked as a manager and coordinator of the National Institutes of Health’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. She spearheaded the development of various funding programs, including the I-Corps assistance program.
