Oerther receives national environmental engineering award

Dr. Daniel Oerther, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, received the The Frederick George Pohland Medal. Awarded jointly by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES), the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) and the Pohland family, the award recognizes Oerther for his “sustained and outstanding efforts to bridge environmental engineering research, education and practice.”

Dr. Pohland was an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and professor at Georgia Tech and the University of Pittsburgh. Five of the prior 13 recipients of the Pohland Medal were also elected members of NAE.
