Competing for research funding? Guest speaker to present on topic

Dr. Yongfeng Lu, the Lott Distinguished Professor of Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present “How to Secure Research Funding in a Competitive Environment” 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, in Room 140 Toomey Hall. Pizza will be served at 12:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Lu has more than 25 years of experience in processing and characterizing micro and nanostructured materials. His team’s research projects are funded by the National Science Foundation; the Air Force Office of Scientific Research; Office of Naval Research; Defense Threat Reduction Agency; Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Transportation; the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research, the Nebraska Research Initiative, private companies and foundations. His group’s research expenditures total more than $25 million in the past few years.
