Tim Albers has been named vice provost and dean of enrollment management. His two-year appointment began Thursday, June 1. A national search will be conducted for a permanent vice provost and dean of enrollment management.
Albers has served as interim vice provost and dean for enrollment management since October 2016, following the retirement of Laura Stoll.
Albers joined Missouri S&T in 2013 with nearly 30 years of experience in admissions recruitment and enrollment management. He came to S&T from Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison, Colorado, where he served as associate vice president for enrollment management. Prior to that, Albers served as director of admissions for Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, and senior associate director of admissions for the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
Albers holds a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a master of science degree in education with a specialization in enrollment management from Capella University. He also attended the USA Group/Noel-Levitz Center for Enrollment Management and received facilitation and conflict management training from Learning Leadership Systems Inc.
