Due to the success of the Mentoring Monday program during the previous spring semester, Missouri S&T’s two colleges will continue the event 3-4 p.m. every Monday in Room 203 Computer Science Building, starting April 3.

Faculty working on a proposal are encouraged to bring a one-page statement and meet with senior researchers committed to mentoring faculty. If you would like your proposal to be read and critiqued by the mentors, please bring six copies of your one-page statement.

The senior researchers will read each statement. Each faculty member will have five minutes to pitch the proposal as if he or she were speaking with a funding manager. Following the pitch, the senior researchers will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the presentation and provide suggestions.

Mentoring Mondays are co-sponsored by Dr. Bruce McMillin, professor of computer science and associate dean for research in the College of Engineering and Computing; and Dr. Yinfa Ma, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of chemistry and associate dean of research in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business.
