Looking for a summer course that won’t fill up your whole summer? History 4001: Chicago: Architecture, Technology & Culture is an off schedule course to be held May 15-27, where you will live in downtown Chicago and use the city as a living classroom. The course, led by Dr. Jeff Schramm, will have you exploring the history of modern architecture and the dialog between architecture and technology, society, economics, politics and culture. Through multiple tours to historical and contemporary architectural sites, you will gain a better understanding of architectural history and the history of modern America. This course is a great option for several different majors or even someone just interested in the history of architecture. Please contact the Distance & Continuing Education Office to register for this course by April 17th.
