Aerospace engineering expert to present lecture April 27

As part of the MAE Centennial Seminar Series, the mechanical and aerospace engineering department and the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers will host a presentation by Jeff Thornburg 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 199 Toomey Hall Thursday, April 27. Thornburg, president of Insterstellar Technologies LLC, will present “Fast Tracking Innovation in Space Exploration.”
Thornburg earned a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from Missouri S&T and a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. He has more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, including serving in the United States Air Force and working at NASA.
