Student artists display work in library

Drop by the Curtis Laws Wilson Library to view the works of 25 student artists and vote for your favorite piece of art. The winner will receive the People’s Choice Award. The library art committee also will award a Best of Show prize and an honorable mention during a reception at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in the library.

The Spring 2017 Student Art in the Library Exhibit will be open on the second floor of Curtis Laws Wilson Library through Sunday, April 30. The exhibit is sponsored by the library and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business. The 40 works include stained glass, acrylic and oil painting, mixed media and digital art. Rolla artist Orval Reeves will assist the Art in the Library Committee as a guest judge. Reeves’ paintings have hung in the White House, the Missouri governor’s mansion and private collections throughout the world.
