Employees, retirees and community members are invited to participate in “Stay Strong, Stay Healthy,” an eight-week strength training program beginning Monday, April 3. A trained instructor will guide participants through a warm-up, eight muscle-strengthening exercises and a cool down.

Offered by the University of Missouri Extension, the class is designed for older adults or sedentary middle-aged females who want to improve their strength, balance and flexibility. All equipment is provided. The class costs $50. Participants can earn 100 points for the University of Missouri System’s 2017 Wellness Incentive. Register on the UM Extension site. For more information, please contact Kelsey Weitzel, nutrition and exercise physiology associate.
