Experimental Mine Open House

The Mining Department is hosting its first Mine Open House on Wednesday, April 19. From 8 am to 4 pm, the Missouri S&T Experimental Mine will be completely open to students and faculty. This event will include free lunch from Buckley Powder, available from 11 to 1, and transportation from Havener to the mine and back. Activities include: mine tours, organization booths, gold panning, mine rescue practices, raffle, and explosives demonstrations. Attendees may be selected to detonate the charge! Raffle tickets will be sold at the event individually for $1 or 6 for $5. Prizes include: free pie from Slice of Pie, free oil change from Extreme Accessories, sweatshirts from O’Doggy’s, and much more.
