RESPOND program set for March 16

Counseling, disability support and student wellness (CDSW) will offer an encore presentation of RESPOND 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center. The program, licensed by the University of Missouri System, is designed to train students, faculty and staff on how to recognize and provide initial assistance to people with mental health concerns. The RESPOND program was developed by Dr. Christy Hutton, assistant director for outreach and prevention in counseling services at the University of Missouri-Columbia, with the support of the UM System Board of Curators. It has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from our S&T community.
CDSW will provide a light breakfast and healthy lunch to workshop attendees. To register for the RESPOND workshop, please contact Sandy Ray, office support assistant, at 341-4211.
