Resources available for retirement planning

On Jan. 1, 2018, employees’ eligibility for the University of Missouri System’s retiree health insurance plans will change. Eligibility will differ based on whether you fall into category A, B, C or D. Some employees may make the choice to retire in 2017 before the changes are made. UM Total Rewards is offering seminars and one-on-one consultations to help educate faculty and staff in order to make informed decisions.

The following are open to all employees, but designed specifically for employees planning to retire in the next 10 years.

Seminars on campus
The seminars are free; however, space is limited and reservations are required. Get more information. Register at https://umurl.us/c2ri.

  • 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center
  • 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, March 7, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center

One-on-one retirement planning appointments
UM System retirement specialists will offer a limited number of 30-minute one-on-one

retirement planning appointments Monday, March 6, and Tuesday, March 7. Get more information. To request an appointment, please contact Lee Miller, Total Rewards generalist, at 341-6105.

Telepresence seminars
This session is offered multiple times throughout the year via telepresence. All sessions are scheduled 3-5 p.m. in Room 201A of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. Dates are:

  • Tuesday, March 14
  • Tuesday, May 23
  • Wednesday, June 28
  • Wednesday, Sept. 20
  • Thursday, Dec. 7
