Elizabeth Hunt, a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will present “Psychology Colloquium: Alcohol-related Stress Among International Students” 1-1:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in Room 254 Toomey Hall.

Drinking behaviors and alcohol use consequences can have a major effect on well-being in college student populations. Little research has addressed how the unique acculturative stress experiences of international students may impact their alcohol use and consequences. Hunt will present research that examined acculturative stress as a moderator of the relationship between international student drinking behaviors and alcohol use consequences.
