Do you know a coworker who practices wellness in the workplace? Nominate someone for Caught in the Act to acknowledge his or her efforts by Tuesday, Feb. 28. Nominees are entered into a weekly raffle. One name is drawn weekly on each University of Missouri System campus and the weekly winner chooses a prize that supports wellness. Nominators also will have a chance to win a prize at the end of the program.

Examples of random acts of wellness include:

  • Starting a walking group
  • Creating a bulletin board with healthy recipes
  • Adding a fresh fruit bowl to your breakroom
  • Encouraging micro breaks
  • Including a designated relaxation time in your schedule
  • Hosting a healthy potluck

The Caught in the Act program is designed to acknowledge and reward faculty and staff for demonstrating random acts of wellness. These employees exemplify a culture of health in the workplace in one of five areas: be active, eat well, work-life fit, work healthy, and empower and appreciate.
