Counseling, disability support, and student wellness (CDSW) reminds you that Mental Health Awareness Week will be observed next week, from Monday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb. 24. Join CDSW for these events:
- “Pop the Stigma” on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Miner Well outside the Curtis Laws Wilson Library
- Free mental health screenings will be offered during lunch Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Havener Center
- Drop-in relaxation session at noon Friday, Feb. 24, in Room 201 Norwood Hall
Please refer distressed students to CDSW. The American Psychological Association reports that more than 40 percent of college students experience anxiety and seek help. Depression follows as a leading cause of distress. CDSW counselors can teach students how to manage upsetting feelings and succeed academically. Learn more at http://counsel.mst.edu.
