Poster nabs travel award, places in contest

A Missouri S&T poster received third place at the International Symposium on Chemical Reaction Engineering conference (ISCRE 2016) in June in Minneapolis. Abbas J. Sultan and Laith S. Sabri, both Ph.D. students in chemical and biochemical engineering, co-authored the poster under the supervision of Dr. Muthanna Al-Dahhan, professor and chair of chemical and biochemical engineering.
The poster is titled, “Investigating the Effect of Heat Exchange Tubes Size on Phase Distribution of Bubble Columns for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis by using Gamma-ray Computed Tomography (CT) Technique.”
In addition to acceptance of the poster abstract, the students and professor received travel awards to attend the ISCRE 2016 conference.
