Chemical engineering poster receives honorary mention

Haider Al-Rubaye, a Ph.D. student in chemical and biochemical engineering, presented a poster at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) 2016 annual Sustainability Poster Session in San Francisco on Nov. 16. The poster, “Experimental Investigation on Expanded Granular Sludge Bed Reactor to Maximize the Methane Gas Production in the Biogas,” received an honorary mention.
In addition to Al-Rubaye, poster authors include Dr. Joseph Smith, the Wayne and Gayle Laufer Chair of Energy and director of Missouri S&T’s Energy Research and Development Center; and graduate students Shruti S. Karambelkar and Manohar Manchenahalli Shivashankaraiah.
