Counseling, disability support, and student wellness will present a University of Missouri System-licensed program, RESPOND, to train students, faculty and staff on how to recognize and provide initial assistance to people with mental health concerns. The free training will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center. Participants will learn how to approach someone in distress and where to refer them for help. A light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
The interactive training received high marks from S&T participants in July. To register, please call 341-4211, ask for Sandy Ray, office support assistant, and mention that you are interested in the RESPOND program.
