Presentation planned on engineering smart stimuli-responsive cement

Dr. Raissa Ferron, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, will present “Engineering Smart, Stimuli-responsive Cementitious Composites” at noon Thursday, Nov. 17, in 109A Fulton Hall. She will speak about research on improving the performance of concrete by using a self-adaptive material approach. The event is sponsored by the RE-CAST University Transportation Center. Refreshments will be served.
