The campus community is invited to attend free presentations and a film during Missouri S&T’s Space Week, Nov. 1-5. The events are hosted by various club, groups and teams at Missouri S&T. Events include:
- Thomas Shoberg, a research scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), will speak about the challenges of manned bases in the solar system 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Room 254 Toomey Hall.
- A film, “October Sky,” will be shown 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in the Missouri Ozark Room in the Havener Center.
- Sandra Magnus, a Missouri S&T graduate and former NASA astronaut, will speak about space-related topics 6-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in Room Toomey 140. Magnus currently serves as executive director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
