Explore scholarship of teaching and learning during workshop

Instructors are invited to a workshop, “Explore the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL),” 2:30-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. It is sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation. Refreshments will be provided. To reserve your spot, please contact Diane Hagni, by Friday, Nov. 4.
Dr. Kelly Jones, an expert in instructional design from St. Louis, will lead the workshop. She will address questions such as:
- What is SoTL and how is it different than research in a faculty member’s field?
- How can a faculty member document changes in teaching that are improving student learning in the classroom?
- What resources are available to faculty who want to publish and present SoTL?
