Mechanical and aerospace engineering will welcome to campus Dr. James R. Friend, a mechanical and aerospace engineering graduate and member of Missouri S&T’s Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers. Friend will present “Nanoacoustofluidics” 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, in Room 199 Toomey Hall. The presentation is part of the department’s Centennial Seminar Series, celebrating 100 years of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Missouri S&T.
Friend earned his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 1992 and master’s degree and PhD in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1994 and 1998. He is a professor at the Center for Medical Devices and Instrumentation in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Get more details.
