Strategic planning summit set for Nov. 3

The campus community is invited to Missouri S&T’s annual Strategic Planning Summit from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center. Stop by to enjoy refreshments and review the progress made on the university’s strategic plan. Bring your questions and suggestions.

A few achievements include:

  • Transforming the library into a Learning Commons increased door count from 317,549 in 2013 to 424,066 in 2016, a 33 percent increase.
  • The second phase of Shrenk Hall renovations began with an $18.1 million investment for facility improvements.
  • Beginning this semester, Missouri S&T significantly increased funding for qualified Ph.D. and graduate students.
  • As part of the university’s commitment to sustainability, dining services has a contractual agreement that includes stipulations for effective waste management.

Alumni, students, faculty and staff representatives will meet Nov. 10-11 for the strategic plan mid-cycle opportunity review to analyze steps taken for the plan and recommend changes.
