Tier 2 of the 2016 Wellness Incentive ends Sept. 30

Continue your journey to health and wellness by completing Tier 2 of the 2016 Wellness Incentive by Friday, Sept. 30. Doing so could earn you $350 in your final October paycheck (however, you must have completed Tier 1 in order to participate in Tier 2).The 2016 Wellness Incentive is all about defining what wellness means to you. There’s more opportunities than ever to earn points and educate yourself. In Tier 2, explore stress reduction, mindful eating, exercise and more.

Keep in mind: The deadline for Tier 2 is approaching, but there is still time to earn the 350 points you need. Here are a few ideas for earning the points to finish strong:

  1. Did you get your flu shot last year? If so, you’ve already earned 50 points.
    2. Join the Million Step Pedometer Program to earn 100 points for every million steps you walk (up to 200 points).
    3. Practice mindfulness meditations or listen to yoga recordings right at your desk for 10 points each and a nice sense of calmness.
    4. Complete an online wellness workshop on a variety topics, including anxiety, preventive care, diabetes awareness and more.

Your 2016 Wellness Incentive earnings will be taxed and voluntary retirement contributions will be deducted, just like with other earnings. All may participate, but only some employees are able to earn the incentive; see http://umurl.us/incentive for eligibility details.
