Pioneering UAV researcher shares his lessons

Can you really hang Christmas lights with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)? Find out how at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at the Research & Technology Development Conference 2016. Listen to Dr. Keith Cunningham share his research findings from the past seven years.

Aside from being a research professor at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, Cunningham manages projects for the U.S. Air Force in improved forecasting of airborne volcanic ash and optimizing unmanned aircraft systems for pipeline monitoring. Cunningham will provide examples of products as well as discuss how the aircraft and sensors were selected for the task.
