Miner Challenge is Missouri S&T’s student-led alternative break program, sponsored by student life. Every year, the program engages students in immersive volunteer experiences across the U.S. and internationally. Miner Challenge is looking for faculty or staff advisors who will work closely with a student leader and a team of participants from mid-October through April and attend a Miner Challenge Alternative Spring Break trip. Faculty and staff advisors serve to support and guide trip leaders throughout the planning and implementation of their service trips, and act as mentors to diverse student participants. Working with this impactful campus program offers professional experience as well as personal development and a chance to interact with students in a new way. Apply online through OrgSync orgsync.com/68139/forms/210383. Applications are due Thursday, Sept. 1. For more information, contact Jessica Haywood, program administrator for volunteerism and Greek life.
