Students, are you looking for a way to share your culture? Would you like to be more involved with the community and surrounding area? Richie Myers, program coordinator for international and cultural affairs, is seeking volunteers this summer to go on school and community outreach visits.
Myers is seeking volunteers for a visit to the St. James Library on Thursday, July 14. The library is offering a summer program for children that encourages healthy bodies and healthy minds. Volunteers will share information about their home country and will be encouraged to teach children activities and games from their own childhood that required imagination or physical activity.
Students will meet at the Southwestern Bell Cultural Center the morning of the event and will return in the early afternoon. Myers will provide specific time details to those students who sign up.
For more information or to sign up for the event or other outreach activities during the summer, email Richie Myers.
