Philanthropy Month is a time of year when Missouri S&T celebrates the support of all alumni, students, friends and family. Whether it’s tags marking the location of donor support, handing out T-shirts and gift cards to students or competing in the annual Battle of the Brains trivia contest, the message is still the same – philanthropy matters, and the university would not be what it is today without it. Mark your calendar for these April events:

Green for gratitude: Look for “We give because we’re Miners” tags across campus. Every tag recognizes donors’ generosity.

Don’t be clueless: Join a student team and compete in a month-long scavenger hunt. Weekly clues will lead you through the history of philanthropy at S&T. Register to join the scavenger hunt by completing this form. Official rules can be found online. Follow Philanthropy Month’s Facebook page for weekly clues.

Join the crowd: Help Blue Key and Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) reach their goal of getting 1,500 students to give. View the video, find out more information and make your gift at crowdfunding.mst.edu/philanthropy2016.

Pick up a free T-shirt, grab a fact snack and thank a donor by signing the thank you banner on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month.

White boards will be visible on Wednesdays to say why you love S&T and enter to win a $20 gift card.

More information about Philanthropy Month will be shared throughout April, so be sure to check the eConnection each week.
