Graduate studies is partnering with leadership and cultural programs to bring the campus community a workshop titled “Managing Micro-Aggressions” noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the Missouri Room of the Havener Center.
Micro-aggressions are a subtle but offensive comment or action that is directed at a minority or other non-dominant group. This comment is often unintentional, yet it can unconsciously reinforce a stereotype. Please join the groups to learn about the micro-aggressions you may be using and how to combat micro-aggressions you hear each day. Register for the workshop online. This program is part of the “Lunch and Learn” series of events. Please bring your lunch and learn with others.
