Ph.D. candidate earns SAE award

Josh Goldschmid earned the Steven M. Atkins Ability and Achievement in Science, Engineering, and Technology (AASET) Award during the SAE International AeroTech Engineering Congress held recently in Seattle. Goldschmid, a Ph.D. candidate in systems engineering from Woodinville, Washington, is currently a technical program manager in the Seats and IFEC Integration Team for Boeing.

Established in 2011, the award recognizes technical achievements brought about by innovation, leadership and inspiration of employees with disabilities working in the aerospace engineering industry. Goldschmid’s growth and achievements have been made despite profound (95+dB) deafness since birth.
