New residence hall named University Commons

Missouri S&T is pleased to announce that the name “University Commons” has been selected for the new residence hall currently being constructed on University Drive. University Commons is a 450-bed apartment-style facility that will house students in primarily eight-person apartments. Each apartment will have four bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen and two bathrooms. The building will also utilize the latest security technology by providing access to rooms through the Student ID card. University Commons will open in August 2016.
In conjunction with the naming of University Commons, the Residential College buildings will be renamed “Residential Commons.” The Residential Commons was built between 2005 and 2007 and houses approximately 550 students.
