Richard Brow named interim chair of materials science and engineering

Dr. Richard Brow, Curators’ Professor of materials science and engineering, is now chair of that department. He succeeds Dr. Wayne Huebner, who served as chair from January 2007 through last Wednesday, Oct. 28.
A member of the Missouri S&T faculty since 1998, Brow served as chair of ceramic engineering from 2001 through 2004. When the ceramic engineering and metallurgical engineering programs were combined in 2005 to form the materials science and engineering department, Brow served as chair of that department from 2005 through 2006.
“Dr. Brow is a highly regarded member of the faculty with a proven record of success as a department chair, and I’m thankful for his willingness to again serve in that role during this interim period,” says Dr. Robert Marley, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs.
