Dr. Kenneth R. Poeppelmeier, the Charles E. & Emma H. Morrison Professor of Chemistry at Northwestern University, will present “Accelerated Discovery of Materials” at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, in Room 126 Schrenk Hall. His presentation will focus on the properties of unreported compounds in solid-state research. Poeppelmeier is a solid-state chemist and expert in non-linear optical materials, transparent conducting solids, catalysis and batteries.
