The campus community is encouraged to attend an open forum to learn more about the university’s tobacco-free campus initiative and to provide input on the process.
A forum for all students, faculty and staff will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. A second forum, open to all students and sponsored by Student Council, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in Room 199 Toomey Hall. Members of Missouri S&T’s work group developing the policy will be on hand to discuss the process and answer questions.
Earlier this month, the university announced plans to become a tobacco-free campus by July 1, 2016.
