Ferguson announces plans to step down

Dr. Ian Ferguson, vice provost and dean of the College of Engineering and Computing since August 2014, has announced plans to step down from that role for personal and family medical reasons.
Provost Robert J. Marley plans to meet soon with the faculty and department chairs of the college to discuss the timing of the transition to an interim and next steps for a search for a new permanent vice provost and dean.
“During his tenure, Dean Ferguson helped establish the College of Engineering and Computing during a time of great change at Missouri S&T,” Marley says. “His efforts have placed the college on a firm foundation, well-positioned for future growth.”
