Dr. Qisheng Song, professor in the division of plant sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will present “Neuropeptide Hormone Bursicon: Heterodimers Regulate Cuticle Tanning while Homodimers Mediate Innate Immunity” at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in Room 126 Schrenk Hall. The focus of the lecture will be about insects’ protective cuticle, which provides support for muscle attachment and protects the body from microbial infection and desiccation.
