Wang and Liu receive 2015 CAPEES Best Paper Award

Dr. Jianmin Wang, associate professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, and Dr. Guoqiang Liu, assistant research professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, received the 2015 Chinese-American Professors in Environmental Engineering and Science (CAPEES) Best Paper Award, for their publication “Long-term low DO enriches and shifts nitrifier community in activated sludge,” which was published in 2013 in Environmental Science and Technology. Their research impacts sustainable wastewater treatment and reuse.

CAPEES is an academic organization with members in North America, Europe and Asian countries. It is a non-political, non-sectarian and not-for-profit organization, with the objective to (a) promote discovery, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge and ideas in the field of environmental engineering and science (EES), (b) foster professional growth and career development of Chinese American professors in EES, and (c) provide expert scientific and technical services to the EES community and society at-large.
